About the Course
DiabetesDayOne is a clinician-created educational course for adults newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. It includes a welcome video followed by 5 individual video lessons (4–6 minutes each) and a 20+ page PDF guide covering everything you need to know in your first 30 days — in plain language, without the overwhelm.
The course was created by Jordan Crawford, PA-C and Allison Crawford, FNP-C — a husband-and-wife team working in family medicine. They built this course based on the conversations they have with patients.
There is a welcome video followed by 5 individual lessons, each 4–6 minutes long. Most people work through the course over their first month, watching 1–2 videos per week alongside the corresponding PDF guide content.

This course is specifically designed for adults with type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes. It is not appropriate for type 1 diabetes, as the mechanisms, management, and treatment are significantly different.
No. DiabetesDayOne does not address specific medications. Medication decisions are highly individualized and should always be made in partnership with your healthcare provider. This course focuses on understanding your diagnosis, nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, and the emotional side of a new diagnosis.
We do not make cure or reversal claims. DiabetesDayOne is an educational resource focused on helping you understand your diagnosis and take practical first steps. Some people do achieve remission through lifestyle changes, but that is not a guaranteed outcome and is not the goal of this course.
This course is designed specifically for people who were recently diagnosed. The earlier you have access to clear, accurate information, the better equipped you will be to work with your care team and feel confident about your next steps.
Yes! Many of the aspects of this course are from conversations from individuals who have been diagnosed for years in the past and new onset diabetics. There are common themes that show up over time that often get overlooked. This course addresses many of these items.
